Nagpur Santra

Nagpur orange is a variety of orange grown in Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra in India. Nagpur Santra is rustic and has a pockmarked exterior which is sweet and has juicy pulp. Therefore, the city of Nagpur is also called the ‘Orange City’. The Nagpur oranges generally blossom during the Monsoon season and are ready to be harvested from the month of December.

Coorg Santra

Coorg Santra, also known as Coorg mandarin. It is a cultivar of orange from Kodagu in the state of Karnataka. It has been given the Geographical Indication status in 2006. Coorg oranges are popularly regarded as man-made hybrids of mandarins. They are greenish-yellow in colour and have tight skin. They have a sweet-sour taste.

Dancy

The Dancy variety of oranges are said to be medium in size. The apex of the fruit broadly depressed. The rind of these oranges is thin, leathery, tough, loose and easily removed. The surface is smooth and glossy. It may become bumpy with age. The colour can be described as deep orange-red to scarlet till it matures.

Darjeeling Mandarin

The Citrus reticulate Blanco, also known as Darjeeling Mandarin, is known to be a major cash crop grown in the Darjeeling Hills. It is grown on approximately 930 hectares in the Darjeeling Hills. The annual production of Darjeeling Mandarin variety of oranges is around 148.224 metric tons.

Kinnow Mandarin

Pronounced as Kinoo or Kinu, Kinnow Mandarin is a high yield mandarin and is known to be a hybrid of two citrus cultivators the ‘King’ and the ‘Willow Leaf’. It’s juicier than may other varieties of oranges. It is majorly grown in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Haryana.
